– Earlier today, Apple finally releases the most awaited iOS 8 with tons of new features and some new applications as well. This is the biggest release for both the users and developers. Like always, Apple leaves some devices out in cold for the new iOS releases. Well, this time, as expected, it is the iPhone 4, yes, iOS 8 will not be supported with the iPhone 4. However, apple has made some exemptions for other devices such as iPad 2 and iPad mini 1st generation. Yes, both devices will run the latest iOS 8.

Although iPad 2 is about three years old, but Apple has still kept it in the list for iOS 8 update. It is surprising for any user. We also believe that iOS 8 will work on all the devices having A5 or higher processor which exempts the iPhone 4 easily but includes the iPad 2.
On the other hand, iPad mini without the retina display will also run the iOS 8. The main reason is that it is identical to the iPad 2 except the size. The Chard posted by Apple confirms that which devices will get the iOS 8 and which not. However, iPod Touch 5th generation will also get the latest iOS 8. Which is your device?
